Dropped in this morning for a cup of coffee and a snack (I'm saving up my appetite for the Phillips Ave Diner). Coffee was pretty okay and my cinnamon roll was tasty. Friendly service but the cafe itself was extremely noisy. Definitely not a place to sit and enjoy the atmosphere for awhile but not bad for a cup of coffee.

I love the fireplace, lighting, decor and the coffee. The soups and panini's are great. So are the breakfasts. I always feel tempted by the assortment of baked goods to choose from. I think it's clearly becoming a favorite for me in Sioux Falls. The staff are always friendly. Sometimes it gets busy here, but I think that speaks well to Josiah's, the quality of the food and the ambience, so I'd call that a plus.

I was really impressed with this little cafe. I got a huge sandwich that came with a cup of soup for $7 and I could only eat half. I would probably get the half with a cup of soup next time for the tiny sum of $5.50! They have unique paninis made on awesome homemade bread, for example I got a roast beef with blue cheese and onions which was awesome. They also serve pizza and salads so a good variety of things. I also had some of their coffee which I'm a fan of. It's cheaper than Starbucks for coffee and cheaper than Panera for paninis and better at both! I'd say that's a win.

Looking for a place where the food is good, service is top notch, and you can sit and chat for hours? I found it at Josiah's! I love to go in the afternoon with my laptop and work on homework. The coffee is great and I always get a sweet treat to go with. My sisters and I go for Saturday brunch and stay for hours just chatting. The spinach feta omelet is delicious. My niece loves the cinnamon rolls. I have yet to try the waffles, but plan on doing very soon.

This was not a planned stop for our trip, but when I searched best breakfast in Sioux Falls Josiah's was on the list. Order the English Muffin and I promise it will be worth the visit! Food: I ordered the English Muffin with Eggs, Bacon, Cheese and added Avocado. I also ordered the Carmel Roll since it looked so good sitting in the display. The Carmel Roll was delicious, but a few bites was all I needed (glad my dad was there to pick up my slack and eat the rest). When the English Muffin arrived it looked a bit small (I had been eating lots of big breakfasts on this trip so my concept of normal sized breakfast was off). The English Muffin sandwich was amazing and plenty of food! The English Muffin is made from scratch and tastes amazing... I was tempted to ask if I could take a few home they were that good. Heads up, the sauce they serve with the sandwich has a kick... it takes a second, but you'll feel it. Service: The woman that helped us at the counter was amazing. We had no idea what to order and she guided us through the menu. You could tell by her descriptions of the menu items that she was passionate about the food they served. She checked on us a few times during our meal and was wonderful! Atmosphere: The atmosphere is nice and they have outdoor seating as well. They have a story on the wall about the history of Josiah and lots of homemade goodies available for sale. There was a steady flow of customers and the place had a nice local feel. Location: There is a large parking lot which made it easy to find a place to park. It is located on the first floor of an office building. It has a bit of a mixed crowd with house moms, kids, professionals, and tourist (us!). Overall: I give Josiah's a high 4. The English Muffin was delicious! Josiah's will be my first stop if I make it back to Sioux Falls anytime soon. Worth the visit!

Theres plenty of seating, wifi, and just an overall good ambiance. The decor of the cafe fits the modern feel of the building adjacent to it - the staff is polite and the food is great! First time in South Dakota and already I want to come back!

My absolute favorite place for lunch. The Cuban sandwich is my go-to meal accompanied with a side salad that they have a specialty dressing. It's local with friendly staff. Always impressed and they use fresh and local ingredients

Located in a corporate building, this cafe is an unlikely spot for a quick bite but we visited due to a glowing recommendation, it's being open for the late lunch hour, and its proximity to our destination. While the waitresses did not disappoint, the food was mediocre and the grumpy cook sat at the coffee bar texting and did not engage with his staff. The salmon bowl had great ingredients but was flavorless as was the tuna sandwich and empanadas. Fortunately, the coffee and cookies were tasty! The funny personalities of the waitresses kept us there but it is not first on my list of restaurants if we visit again.

Found this on Yelp while on a three-week road trip. Quick overnight visiting Sioux Falls . was one of the only places open on the July 4th weekend but so so worth our little side trip to eat there for breakfast. It was very busy but we sat at the little bar counter. everyone was very attentive and kind. even felt like we were the only ones there by the way they had a chat with us. coffee was perfect and I had the most amazing omelette I think I've ever eaten. it was called the Greek omelette and besides the artichokes red bell pepper and olive they had freshly ground large chunks of pepper in the eggs which made it super tasty. My husband and I both had breakfast and coffee and it was about $25.00. F.y.i when you'll take you there you think its in this folder small shops it's actually in the three-story CNC building across the street. There was a lovely outdoor area to sit in and a couple people had their puppies with them.

Staff was very friendly and helpful. But, sadly that was all the positive I could find. Ordered the BBQ chicken and Swiss panini. Sandwich was ok. The BBQ sauce had a canned flavor to it. Overall the sandwich was cold in the center and the cheese was not melted. The doors were propped open to the restaurant. One to the outside and the other to an indoor entrance. This made for a rather chilly wind tunnel effect that made me feel like I was at a sidewalk cafe in Chicago only I had forgotten my mittens. May try again in the future but I can think of other places to spend $15 for a meal.

Came on a couple occasions for coffee in the morning, and like others enjoyed the strong, yet smooth coffee. After my good morning experiences I decided to give their food a try and so stopped by for lunch. I had the vegetarian wrap and a cup of their pork chili. The wrap had humus, romaine, tomato, red onion and carrots in a flour tortilla, it was pleasantly filling without making me feel weighed down. The chili was also nice, hints of bbq, plenty of meat and not too salty. A good value for lunch for under $9.

Ordered the reuben to go based on a recommendation from staff. It was terrible. Tough and stringy corned beef and completely unmelted cheese. Even worse, it was almost 10 dollars! Two stars only because the potato chips were fantastic. Didn't try any coffee beverages here, but I would not recommend the overpriced food.

Great little restaurant hiding in an office building - terrific find find as we were staying next door in the Hilton Garden Inn. House made breads, muffin's, grass feed chicken eggs, and the largest pot of tea I've ever been served. Definitely a wonderful find !

Weirdest experience EVER. The owner of Josiah's is a guy named Steve Hildebrand and after I visited, he decide to go onto his Facebook page and insult me for no reason. I went in with someone who Steve knows but Steve never said a word to me. He did glare at me sideways, but I just smiled and ignored it. Hours later, Steve posted this on his Facebook page: I'm the 'smarmy spokesman" "It's just too fun, my life that is. Dr. Annette Bosworth's hubby, the illustrious Chad Haber stopped by my coffeehouse this morning - along with their smarmy new spokesperson. Chad was dressed in black, head-to-toe - not sure if he is in mourning because his wife is headed to jail on felony counts or if he is trying to be like Johnny Cash. Smarmy spokesperson had iced coffee with cream and Empanadas to-go and Chad had a delicious Iced Frap. So good to see Chad and catch up. I asked him what he was up to - and get this, he said they were working to bring down the entire Republican establishment. How cool is that." How would Steve know if I'm 'smarmy'? All I did was order! He NEVER SPOKE TO ME. I didn't go to this coffeeshop to have any kind of political anything. I went for food and drink. What I got was insults, publicly, from someone who acts like he's in high school. UNPROFESSIONAL. UNBELIEVABLE. I'll stick to Coffea, thanks. Great coffee, no public insults.

Cute decor! But didn't get the drink I ordered and their frappes are not blended well and too much syrup was added. Frappes had to many ice crystals. But their sandwiches were amazing!!

Had a great breakfast here on the patio. Great selection of delicious teas. Had a breakfast wrap with andouille sausage, eggs, and black bean-corn salsa with a drizzle of chipotle sauce. Fresh & yummy. Son had English muffin with bacon, eggs & cheese. Great quality. A nice addition would have been adding a handful of fresh fruit with the breakfast entrees to round out the meal. If I lived in Sioux Falls, this would be a place I would frequent.

Great coffee shop if you need food, friendly service, and 4-star coffee. They import their coffee from a Seattle-based Roasterie called "Caffe Vita." I'm not a huge fan of Vita, but it's an 8/10 whereas Starbucks is a 3.5/10. So if you just so happen to be in Sioux Falls, stop by this place!

Great coffee and great atmosphere! I love this little tucked-away spot downtown. This area has spawned some of the greatest new dining and hang-out spots in town, and Josiah's is at the top of the list. Ignore the post by "Lee S.". It's a personal attack against the owner and has no place on Yelp! Go hang out with the mall-rats at Coffea if you want to deal with all the crappy traffic. If you want a relaxing part of town that's not overrun by tourists, hit up Josiah's.

I love everything else I've ever had here, but don't get the Brisket & Chipotle Cheddar panini. I love spicy things and put hot sauce on almost everything and this sandwich was just pointlessly painful. No other flavor but heat. The spiciest thing I've eaten in Sioux Falls, except for the one time in Shahi Palace when I was tired of getting mildly hot things when I asked for very spicy and told them I wanted my chicken so spicy it makes me cry, and they literally put half a bottle of hot sauce on my chicken. Which makes it really confusing that this sandwich doesn't come with a heat warning? Or a little pepper drawing or something?

Wonderful place to sit and drink coffee for as long as you like. Really friendly staff, great bread, nice atmosphere. I haven't had the food, except for a good breakfast sandwich. A bit louder than Queen City, because it's smaller. But just as excellent in its own way.

I just noticed this coffee shop when visiting the farmer's market across the street so thought we would try it. We tried a variety of items, coffee (very hot and strong), iced tea was brewed but way too strong also. My husband had the egg panini which I tried and it was very nice with homemade bread. My daughter ordered a Mango smoothie which she was dissapointed to taste more banana than mango in it. Overall I was dissapointed in this cafe and would not go back.
